Lepin Bricks Are Dangerous!

The website bogusbricks.com has nailed it.   Lepin Bricks are dangerous!  They are dangerous to Lego's entry into the Chinese marketplace.   If I were Lego, I'd be worried too.

Lepin bricks are also dangerous,  because they must have baked in some addiction chemical into the bricks.  After I buy one cheap set, I can't stop, and then I buy another, and another.

It's not just Lepin bricks that are dangerous, there are other bootleg brick brands you need to stay away from:

Bela
Enlighten
Lele
Kazi
Sluban
Wange
Hsanhe
Gudi
Decool
Sheng Yuan

So remember, don't be an idiot, pay a lot more for Lego bricks, because the Ole Kirk Kristiansen family that owns Lego aren't rich enough.  They only have a few billion dollars of net worth.

  1. Such hilarity... I collect quite many things (Transformers, Marvel Legends, GIJOEs, Star Wars stuff, etc.) and I've only ever seen Lego fans lose their shit over bootlegs/clone bricks.

With Transformers, you have 3rd party companies making high quality figures that are quite welcomed by the community, and other fans have cheap dollar store knockoff collections for shits and giggles. On a forum I often visit, they have an entire thread dedicated to posting bootleg finds.

With Marvel Legends, a bootleg figure is sometime the only way for a collector on a budget to get a normally ultra rare figure. People will share their findings to help out other collectors. It is not frowned upon.

And then you have rabid Lego fans. Don't you even mention a chinese brand to them or you will get lynched, it's insane. Once, I wanted to talk about clone bricks like Enlighten's all original Legendary Pirate series - so not even close to any straight up ripoffs of Lego kits - but not even that was tolerated. They have a stick so far up their ass, it's ridiculous. I have no clue why that is either...

    1. I know, it's like AFOLs have become a cult of sorts, worshipping the God of Lego. Anytime you get those fanatical hater responses, you just have to wonder whether all their marbles are intact. Geez, their just toys!

    1. My neighbor bought some of those fake bricks. When my kids came home from their house after being invited over to play, their hands were oily and smelled funny. They said they played with LEGO the whole time they were over there.

They aren't allowed to play with those kids anymore.
