I got a Fake Lego Holiday Camper Van 60283 From Aliexpress!

Hi ya brick fans, I'm back to show you another set that I bought from Aliexpress.  It's an obvious knock-off of the Lego Holiday Camper Van 60283 and it comes complete with the van and even copies of the minifigures in the set.   I paid around $14 CDN (which is about $10 US) which included free shipping from a store called AooA Lucky Store.  It's another of those fly by night stores that has the listings one day and then they are gone the next.  Let's review this set and see if it meets expectations.

I ordered the Camper Van on Feb 11, right in the middle of the Chinese New Year Holiday, so I wasn't expect to get the fake Lego set for quite awhile.  On Feb 14, Valentines day, I decided to check on the item status and found that it was already shipped!   And it landed on my doorstep on Feb 20, with an insane shipping time of just 8 days from China to Canada!  I think this is one of the fastest shipments I've ever received from Aliexpress!

I got the standard white package from Aliexpress and inside I got this brown envelope with details about the set.  It indicates that there are 218 pieces but no mention of the brand or set number.  I even checked brick4.com which is a database of every Lego and not Lego set and this one doesn't even show up there.

Unpacked the brown envelope to find a cellophane bag of parts and a thin instruction booklet with no branding other then the City logo.

The parts for the Camper Van are broken down into 7 bags, one for the minifigures, two bags marked with the number 1, two bags marked with the number 2, and two bags with no markings at all.

Inside the instruction booklet I found this sticker sheet with the license plate stickers showing the proper Lego set number.

Here are the two minifigures and the baby in a carrier.  The mom?  also has a second sleepy face on the other side of here head.  Do you think they look like the original minifigures from the Lego set?  One thing I noticed right away is that the tan coloured part all have a pinkish hue.

Here's a sample of the brick pieces for closer inspection.  The bricks seem to use a softer plastic than regular Legos.

Brick clutch was decent though and the brick finish was quite good.

The set also comes with printed parts.

I haven't seen this instrument cluster piece before.  I'm assuming the Lego version has this same part.

So the instructions don't have any numbered sections that refer to the bags numbered 1 and 2.  I simply opened the first two un-numbered bags and then bags number 1 and followed the instructions.  When you get to step 32, you realize that those parts are in the parts bags numbered 2, so the despite the numbered bags, they don't really match up to the instructions.

Fortunately this set isn't that big nor complicated, so the lack of numbering during the build isn't really a problem.

While the opaque glass window pieces are relatively unscuffed, the windshield glass is a whole lot darker than the side windows. In fact, it's almost black.

The roof comes off the Camper Van and the side wall pivots open to display the interior.  I don't know if the original Lego set has that small gap in the roof fairing, but I find it a bit annoying.  I checked the instructions and it doesn't look like I missed any steps.

Extra accessories include a croissant, a camera and a portable stove with frying pan and printed egg.  The trailer hitch in the rear will be handy for hooking up future trailers or watercraft.

Removable roof top.

Not much room for three of them to sleep methinks.

Sleeping at the wheel is dangerous!

And here are the extra parts that were leftover ,which begs the question: why do I have an extra arm?

This was a fun and quick low cost replica build of the Lego Holiday Camper Van.

I was pleased about the price I got the Camper Van for, and the free shipping was super fast.  I think whoever did the knockoff of the set, at least did a good job of reproducing the minifigures.  Not a fan of the pinkish tan bricks or the super dark windshield, but overall it's a nice little set which rolls well.

Unbranded S101 Sexy Grils Minifigures on Aliexpress

Hiya brick fans!

Way back in September 2023, I saw an Aliexpress listing for a set of 8 female minifigures dressed up in very revealing outfits.   I would recommend that these figures are for adult collectors only and not suitable for kids.

I ordered them but they never got delivered.  I raised a dispute with Aliexpress and after 2 months I got my money back.   So I went and re-ordered the minifigures again, but this time from a different Aliexpress shop.  Well, wouldn't you know these also went missing during shipment.

This was the original Aliexpress listing for the sexy girls.  They can be found on different Aliexpress shops for usually less than a dollar per minifigure with free shipping.

After four months, I have finally have the minifigures in my possession!  They don't have a specific brand, but the bags which they came in are marked S101.

My plan is to put some or all of them into my Lego knockoff Mos Eisley Cantina set, which I have sitting unbuilt in my closet.

I have seen the renderings but not any decent pictures of the sexy female minifigures.  There are 4 minifigures with dark hair and 4 with red brown hair.  The dark hair figures look a bit creepier than the brown haired minifigures.

My first impression is that the prints of the faces and torsos are quite crisp and look pretty good.

As you can see there is also printing on the back of the torsos and legs.

Of the 8 minifigures, only 1 of them has a unique hairstyle.  All of the others share the same hairpiece.

I'm pretty happy with how the minifigures look, but I will probably change some of the heads and hairpieces in future to make them a bit more diversified.

For under a buck apiece, I think these sexy Lego compatible minifigures are unique and interesting to have in one's collection.  Lego definitely won't be making these minifigures anytime soon!   These would look great in someone's adult themed brothel building.

This link is just one example of the listings you can find on Aliexpress: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DCHujct

But you can find more by searching Aliexpress for the term "sexy dancer blocks".

Thanks for looking, bye!

Unbranded Version of the Lego Bricklink 910001 Castle in the Forest

Hi Brick fans!  Did you guys find any good deals on the 11.11 shopping holiday?

I found this replica of the Lego Bricklink 910001 Castle in the Forest set on Aliexpress listed for approx $60 CDN (approx $40USD).  According to brickset.com the OG set currently sells for about $650 CDN. I've seen this same fake Lego set sell on Aliexpress for approx $90 CDN, but $60 was definitely the cheapest.  The seller was really new and only had a feedback score of 6, but I thought why not give it a try because I could always raise a dispute with Aiexpress in case the item wasn't shipped or something different was sent.

I waited for a few days and kept checking the store listing on Aliexpress.  Suddenly, all of the store items, well over 200 building block sets, were no longer there.   The store was still there but it was empty.  I had that sinking feeling in my gut that is was Aliexpress dispute time.

A few days later, I checked my order and it was assigned a tracking number.  This typically happens for a lot of bogus stores so that you can't cancel the transaction due to non shipment.  A tracking number tells the Aliexpress platform that the item has shipped regardless whether it actually did or not.  During the course of the listing on Aliexpress, the tracking number never updated.

Instead of using the Aliexpress package tracker I decided to plug the tracking number into my favourite tracking app called the Parcels Tracking App, and now I could see my package was making it's way through the Canada Post delivery service.   Turns out my package had shipped on Nov 14 and arrived in Canada Nov 18.  And today Nov 23, the Castle in the Forest replica set arrived at my doorstep!

Sadly, the store from which I bought from has now disappeared off Aliexpress, so I can't even leave positive feedback for them.   Anyways, the replica set is unbranded and has a set number of 85668 if anyone is curious.  Piece count on the manual says 1957 pieces so hopefully it's all there.   If not, I won't really be able to get contact the seller since they are no longer on the Aliexpress platform.

Here are some other stores selling the replica Castle in the Forest version on Aliexpress.  Hope you can find a good deal!

Look for a full review in the coming months.  I currently have a ton of other sets to build and review, thanks to Afobrick.com, Funwhole.com and Sillbird.com, so I can't get to it any sooner.

Anyways, that's all I wanted to say for today,   Bye for now!
